What Does a Dermatologist Visit Cost?

The honest answer: for most patients, a medical visit costs what your insurance plan says a specialist visit costs, and we verify your benefits before you're seen, so you're never guessing.

Medical visits: usually covered by insurance

Most medical dermatology visits (rashes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, suspicious moles, skin cancer screenings) are covered by health insurance the same way any specialist visit is. Your cost is typically your plan's specialist copay or coinsurance, depending on your deductible.

Before your appointment, our front office verifies your benefits so you know what to expect, no surprises at checkout. We accept most major plans, including Medicare.

Procedures like cyst and wart removal

Medically necessary procedures (cyst removal, wart treatment, skin biopsies, skin tag removal when symptomatic) are typically covered by insurance as medical care, subject to your plan's cost sharing.

If a procedure comes up during your visit, we'll tell you before anything is done whether it's covered under your plan and what your share is expected to be.

Cosmetic care

Cosmetic treatments (wrinkle relaxers, microneedling, chemical peels) are not covered by insurance, and cosmetic consultations carry a consultation fee. Treatment pricing depends on the treatment plan Dr. Brady builds with you, so the consultation is where you'll get exact numbers for your goals.

Call our office for current consultation pricing and to schedule.

No insurance? Self-pay patients are welcome

You don't need insurance to be seen. Call our office before your visit and our team will walk you through what to expect for the cost of your appointment based on the care you need.

How to get your exact numbers

Call (813) 771-5500 with your insurance information and our team will verify your benefits and tell you your expected cost before your visit. You can also review the full list of insurance plans we accept.
